Severity: normal

The bug reporting script included with wine, installed in debian as
`/usr/share/doc/wine/bug_report.pl.gz', doesn't seem to actually work:

   $ zcat /usr/share/doc/wine/bug_report.pl.gz > /tmp/wine-bug
   $ perl /tmp/wine-bug
   Missing right curly or square bracket at /tmp/wine-bug line 584, at end of
line
   syntax error at /tmp/wine-bug line 584, at EOF
   Execution of /tmp/wine-bug aborted due to compilation errors.

[I know nothing about perl, and the script seems pretty grody, so I
didn't attempt to debug it.]

Perl version:

   $ perl -v

   This is perl, v5.8.4 built for i386-linux-thread-multi

BTW, is there a recommended way of reporting wine bugs with debian when
they obviously seem to be upstream bugs (e.g., a program not redrawing
correctly)?

Thanks,

-Miles

I'm using wine 0.9.15-1 and I the script seems to work at the moment.
Seems upstream has worked on it since this old bug report.
