The test-suite for 1.44.0 fails on various architectures, like powerpc,
mips and mipsel. The full build logs can be seen at
https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=gjs

The test-suite fails running testCallbackTransferFull() which was added
in commit
4663c59264c36251b9be107594699db91df314ac.

Reverting that commit makes the test-suite pass again.

I've decided to make the test-suite failures non-fatal again

Test suite failures are back to being fatal since 1.64.1-2, and they pass on all trixie release architectures except for armel (which no longer has a working mozjs128, so gjs is not built at all). Closing the bug accordingly.

In the version targeted for forky, there's a test regression on s390x tracked as #1101694, but fixes for that are pending for the forky cycle.
