Closing this ticket because it is out-dated and there was no activity.
No
activity means also no interest from maintainer nor the reporter. The
package
might be not actively maintained anymore.
This happens in interest of Debian GNU/Linux project because it harms
the
project keeping tickets of that age open without any activity, decision
or
action taken.
I'll reclassify this as a wishlist item instead of a bug, and forward
it upstream for comment.
Dear "bdale", with all due respect, this is IMHO not a good action. As I
stated previously there is no need to keep it open, because Debian is
not responsible and it is not a bug causing harm to Debian.
Feel free to re-open or open a fresh report.
