I'm closing this bug since it's linked to an upstream bug that was
marked fixed-upstream.
I did notice that there is another memory fix in 48.2 which I am
uploading to Unstable now.
Finally, there is also https://bugs.debian.org/974186 which I think is
appropriate to keep open since gnome-software still runs continuously
in a default Debian GNOME install as a background service with enough
RAM usage to be concerning for systems with little available RAM.
