Hello.
I use Debian 12 and the package python3-mlt 7.12.0-1+b1.
I find an issue is in the /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/mlt7.py
lines 609 and 619 : I replaced _mlt by _mlt7 and the issue disappeared.
