Hi,
The safecat package fails to build reproducibly when:
* built twice in a row, AND
* debug symbols are retained (e.g. put in a ddeb).
The most likely cause of this is that the changes to conf-cc and
conf-ld are not indempotent AND not undone with the clean rule. As
the build is repeated, the compiler/linker command line will
accumulate repeats of the default Debian compiler flags. These
compiler flags are included as-is in the debug symbol leading to a
different binary.
