Severity: normal

If one uses mkimapdcert and mkpop3dcert they build a certificate with serial
number "00". The problem is with some clients, if you renew the certificate
with these tools and again the serial is "00", they do not accept it.

I would suggest that these tools do the following: If executed look into old
certs, copy them to a backup and create a new cert with a serial number higher
than the old one. or they should enable the possibility to give a specific
serial number on the command line. It also would be nice if the serial number
would be stored in some file like /usr/lib/courier/imapd-ssl-serial or
somewhere in /etc/courier.
