I have recently taken over maintenance of this package.  I apologize that 
nobody responded to your bug report in a timely manner.  My testing indicates 
this bug is fixed in Courier 1.4.1-9 (and likely much earlier versions).  Feel 
free to reopen the bug report if you are still experiencing this problem.
