Package: mozilla-firefox
Version: 1.0-2
Firefox sometimes doesn't start.
I'm using XFCE4 and xdm(4.3.0.dfsg.1-8),
To reproduce:
(be very quick about it, try a couple of times)
start firefox, close firefox, try starting firefox again (firefox doesn't
start).
This is not happening all the time for me, but it's happening often.
If I do the same thing, but from a terminal (start firefox, close firefox, so
on.. though it takes a little longer to reproduce this way) I get the following
output:
*** loading the extensions datasource
*** ExtensionManager:_updateManifests: no access privileges to application
directory, skipping.
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client!
I've considered that this may not be a problem with the firefox package, but
it's only been happening since I upgraded from 0.9.3 to the latest version, and
nothing else seems to suffer from the same problem.
I'm using Sarge and am fully up-to-date

Version: 115.12.0esr-1+rm
src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version
45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were
provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The
transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye
release in August 2021.
After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS
support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
