Package: iceweasel
Version: 27.0-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
thanks for maintaining iceweasel!
I've been trying to watch various html5 videos recently, none of them have sound
playback. Most recent example is
<http://www.tagesschau.de/100sekunden/index.html>
After installing
apt-get install pulseaudio
sound was OK.
I've purged it again, and sound stopped working for me. BR is without pulseaudio
installed.
Should iceweasel depend/recommend on pulseaudio or should it work w.o. as
well?
Probably related to #585149, but I'm not sure.
P.S.: If you need further input, feel free to ask.
Cheers,
Stefan.

Version: 115.12.0esr-1+rm
src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version
45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were
provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The
transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye
release in August 2021.
After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS
support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
Andreas
