Package: gnome-software
Version: 48.3-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
1. I first noticed the problem after the Debian 13.2 update.
2. Searching for "Software" using desktop search does not find the gnome-
software (Software) icon.
3. The gnome-software application itself is okay. It can be started from the
terminal.
4. Work a-rounds using desktop file,
"~/.local/share/applications/org.gnome.Software.desktop":
4.1. Desktop searching on most of the keywords, such as "Update",
"Upgrade", etc. does find the icon. (Some keywords, such as "Program" produce
too many alternate applications.)
4.1.1 Except using "Software" as a key word does not work.
4.2 Changing Name=Software from "Software" to something like
Name=Sftwr, Name=Truck, or just about anything else does work.
4.2.1 Except Name=Gnome-Software does not work.
4.2.2 Try these alternate names at least twice. Sometimes, the
icon is located as the previous Name=Value.
Thanks,
Mike

Please cancel this bug report, 1121355.
The problem I observed is caused by the "GNOME Fuzzy App Search"
extension.
Closing as "not our bug" as requested. Please consider reporting this as
a bug in that extension (which I assume isn't in Debian, only on
extensions.gnome.org).
