Dear maintainer,
it seems to me that this package is lagging behind upstream quite a bit
on fixes.
Besides the already reported #998311 I also hit this other thing that
has been fixed 1.5 years ago
https://github.com/sphinx-contrib/plantuml/commit/9b6b2ceee7047ef3c895489c184580e55f591e8c
and I'm sure there are plenty of other small pieces all around.
I'm not sure why you just cherry-picked things last year without a full
update, but could you please consider one?
