Package: bird3
Version: 3.1.0
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
Bird3 sometimes crashes with an assertion as described in
https://trubka.network.cz/pipermail/bird-users/2025-May/018192.html .
This issue is already patched, but this package version is not available
in Debian Trixie. I experienced this panic with default configuration,
thus I marked it "important".

I am marking the bug as fixed in testing.
I think that there are too many changes in bird3 from 3.1.0 to 3.1.5 to
just make a stable update of it, unless you can persuade the release
managers on my behalf, and I do not want to backport so many patches.
But I will make regular trixie backports of bird3 until trixie+1 will be
released, with a lag of a couple of weeks from the upload to unstable.
