when i find the time for it, i shall file a separate reportbug on cinnamon &
firefox-bin & forkserver freezing my bootstrapped by pierre linuxmint 22.2
debian gnu linux on my latest acer aspire go 15 workstation while all 3 of
them read and write unnecessary terabytes someplace according to
gnome-system-monitor coincident with some javascripts from meta and microsoft
if not even alphabet incorporated.
to mitigate those inacceptable hangs i tried to replace cinnamon & firefox &
chromium and install something kissier but cinnamon does not seem to yield
gracefully to a simple aptitude install twm xmonad nor a killall cinnamon but
tasksel xfce lxqt does come closer to replacing cinnamon since we needa unbloat
da system!
tasksels dpkg-reconfigure sddm gives me a pro choice of lightdm+sddm but
refrains from enlightening me which is what for and i m too lazy to SIGTSTP the
install for firing an educative aptitude show sddm as if i were in an
install console where i have no parallel ttys either and do consider it the
installer's responsibility to not wreck my windowing.
sddm maintainer [email protected] so far got closest to a
functioning update-alternatives default-x-display-manager which is why you are
the one i now beg to insert twm+xmonad in2 ur lightdm+xddm menu by either
amending packages.debian.org/sddm or lobbying the maintainers of other
display-managers to fulfil their obligations.
