Package: libcryptui
Severity: normal
Hi!
Seahorse relies on libcryptui to display a signature after file
verification. However, this is broken when the signing key has multiple
subkeys. This was reported upstream:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774611 and a patch was merged
into master / libcryptui 3.20.
I think this behavior results in a UX issue, which makes it impossible
for users using a GUI to be sure that a file is verified.
It would be nice to cherry-pick those patches in Debian. This would not
only allow Tails users to make use of this feature (That's where this
request an patches are originating from, see
https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/11946).
I've also opened an issue to ask for a new upstream release as 3.12
dates back to 2014: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libcryptui/issues/1
Cheers!
Ulrike
