Package: grip
Version: 3.0.5-1
Severity: normal

Non-ASCII characters are not correctly lowercased when creating
filenames. For example, track name ``Trollpiskat Ödemarksblod''
converted to ``10trollpiskat_Ödemarksblod.ogg'' instead of
``10trollpiskat_ödemarksblod.ogg'' (capital `Ö' instead of lower-case
`ö'). The same occurs with directory names created from album names.

Hi,

since grip (as a GTK program) can only use UTF, you get into troubles if
you don't have UTF locales (it's not needed that you have set UTF as
default, but that they are available on the system).

Hence, I'm not regarding this as a bug in grip, but as a wrong
configuration of your system, and therefore I'm closing this bug.

Regards,
Daniel
