sRGB_v4_ICC_preference_displayclass.icc
from http://www.color.org/srgbprofiles.xalter
as well.
btw: I've noted that the sRGB profile in the package differs
from that e.g. shipped by Microsoft... any idea why?

That profile has been included in the package since 2.1-1.

sRGB is a colorspace, and profiles are data tables to aid in getting
there. I guess the profile shipped by Microsoft is either yet another
set of tables or a some duplicate rebranded for legal reasons and/or
promotional value.
