low-memory-monitor appears to be an activatable D-Bus service with no
particular C/C++ ABI. If this is the case, then it could be marked
Multi-Arch: foreign (since D-Bus is normally an architecture-independent
protocol if the interface has been designed in a conventional way),
which would allow client libraries or applications to depend on it
without forcing installation of a particular multiarch instance.
I noticed this because libglib2.0-0{,t64} Suggests low-memory-monitor,
and when I upgrade GLib for both amd64 and i386 at the same time, this
results in apt suggesting that I could install low-memory-monitor:i386
even though I already have low-memory-monitor:amd64 installed (which of
course is impossible, they have file conflicts). In GLib's case this is
non-problematic, because Suggests is the weakest form of dependency, but
if some other library (let's say liblowmemory) wanted a hard dependency
on low-memory-monitor, then this would make liblowmemory:amd64 and
liblowmemory:i386 non-co-installable.
(I have not verified that low-memory-monitor's D-Bus interface is genuinely
architecture-independent, but I strongly suspect that it is.)
