I would like to upload libgusb from experimental to unstable. In
0.4.9-3, I removed a patch that reverted some old upstream symbol
refactoring. I removed the patch because it made it simpler to run
dh_auto_test (which wasn't being run before). I didn't realize at the
time but this changed the ABI and requires packages to be rebuilt.
This was detected by some users and by Ubuntu's autopkgtests for
libfprint. (Debian's libfprint package doesn't include those
autopkgtests but maybe it should.)
I didn't want to restore the patch so the easiest fix to ensure
compatibility was to rename the library package which has been done in
experimental. I verified today that all reverse dependencies in
Unstable build against libgusb from experimental. The auto tracker is
good.
Thank you,
Jeremy Bícha

The old binaries got removed from testing. Closing.
