Package: libkf5kdelibs4support5
Version: 5.103.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
Here's the concise description of the situation (to which I found a temporal
fix, see below):
- "SSL Preferences" entry in the System Settings does not work, reporting
"Could not load plugin from kcm_ssl: The shared library was not found"
- kcm_ssl.so file is missing at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/qt5/plugins/kcm_ssl.so
- kcm_ssl.desktop file is present (because so is the "SSL Preference" entry)
Steps to reproduce:
- open System Settings > SSL Preferences
Observed outcome:
- Grey area with the message "Could not load plugin from kcm_ssl: The shared
library was not found".
- similar behavior upon executing "kcmshell5 kcm_ssl" in terminal
Intended outcome:
- SSL Preferences displaying SSL certificates
Temporal fix:
- install recommended libkf5kdelibs4support5-bin package.
It seems like libkf5kdelibs4support5 is not packaged properly. It recommends
libkf5kdelibs4support5-bin, but this latter package is required for certain
entries in the system settings to work (as SSL certificates in my case), as it
provides *.so files. However, the *.desktop files for those entries are already
contained in some other package.
Sincerely yours,
Anton
