Package: lintian
Version: 2.131.0
Severity: normal

/usr/share/lintian/data/java/constants:highest-known-bytecode-version = 68

However Java 25 (which from the changelog was uploaded to unstable
2025-01-25) generates bytecode version 69, Java 26 (which seems
to already be in testing) bytecode version 70, and Java 27 (in
unstable) 71.

The default JDK was only switched to 25 on 2026-03-07, so the number of
reports is currently low, but will climb as java packages are uploaded:

Cheers,

Hi,

This has been fixed already in https://salsa.debian.org/lintian/lintian/-/commit/68982d9f58e298039c9d580d415b888314ba0ba4 and will be part of the next Lintian release.

Since this bug hasn't been tracked in the git commit's message, I'm closing it now (or else I'll 100% forget to close it later.)

Cheers,
