Dear Maintainer,

The new TeX Info 7.3 is around the corner and sooner or later I will upload
to unstable. The current pre-releases are sitting in experimental.
During a test build of your package using TI 7.3 we noticed that the build
hangs in the dh_auto_test stage (build log is attached). This does not
happen when TI 7.2 is used.

I had to ^C the running process: /usr/bin/guile-3.0 --no-auto-compile -s
./tests/basic.scm

An strace did not show action on the process in question any more.

Thanks for the heads-up! I don't expect any problems. I scheduled a
Salsa build of guile-fibers and it built fine with TeXInfo 7.3:

https://salsa.debian.org/debian/guile-fibers/-/pipelines/1051648

So I'm closing this bug.

I believe what you were experiencing are the usual flaky self-tests of
many Guile-related packages.

There doesn't seem to be any simple solution to this, and I will likely
make another guile-fibers upload to silence/ignore more of the
self-tests to avoid triggering build issues like yours. Of course, it
would be much better to actually debug and fint out what is really
happening, but this problem has affected several Guile-related packages
over a period of many months, and I don't know how to debug things
further. Packages seems to work fine in general though.

/Simon
