Dear Debian Release Team,
I am looking to start the transition as documented at
https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-zxing-cpp.html , which
involves a SONAME bump of libzxing library. See details below.
As this SONAME bump also involves the removal of some deprecated APIs,
I have worked with upstream/downstream to have FTBFS issues fixed for
all reverse deps and build-deps. For sid-only packages, they are
left unfixed at the moment as they will not block the transition.
Reverse deps:
Dep level 2:
* feather-wallet (OK)
* gst-plugins-bad1.0 (OK** see comments below)
* kf6-prison (OK)
* kitinerary (OK)
* libreoffice (OK)
* mediastreamer2 (ignored, sid-only)
* photoqt (OK)
Dep level 3: linphone (ignored, sid-only)
For gst-plugins-bad1.0: the fixed version of this package cannot migrate
to Testing because
https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-onnxruntime.html
is stuck. See https://bugs.debian.org/1126427 for details.
I guess the zxing-cpp transition cannot start until
https://bugs.debian.org/1126427 is fixed. Please monitor
the general transition progress and when you find it ready,
please let me know so that I can upload zxing-cpp v3.x to Debian Sid.
Best Regards,
Boyuan Yang
