Package: screen
Version: 4.1.0~20120320gitdb59704-6
Severity: normal
When used with centerim or elinks, screen garbles the display for all
windows with ";screen" or ";screen-linux" being displayed, usually in the
upper-left corner, of each window. This pushes over the top line on emacs and
other programs, often causing it to continue on the beginning of the next line.
I didn't see this problem in squeeze, but it appeared in Wheezy with screen
package 4.1.0~20120320gitdb59704-5, and is present in
4.1.0~20120320gitdb59704-6 from sid. Seems similar to
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg03602.html -- though in my
case selecting the title bar in copy mode doesn't restore anything. This seems
to appear consistently after I log into an xmpp account in centerim in a screen
window, and also happens after starting elinks.
Also note that this problem doesn't seem to be appearing in an xterm; I
only see it while working from the console.

Hi,
This bug report is quite old, and hasn't seen any followup or other
similar reports in over 10 years.
I have not been able to reproduce this on 4.9.0-1.
I'm closing this as stale/unreproducible.
If this is still an issue, and you can provide more details using the
current unstable version, please feel free to reopen.
Cheers,
Peter Dey
