Package: whizzytex
Version: 1.3.2-1.1
Severity: normal

Hi,

the whizzytex documentation states [1] that it enough to specify the
-pdf option as it will also set the other variables to compile with
pdflatex instead of latex.

Here is a small test document:

\documentclass{article}
%; whizzy -pdf

%\usepackage{hyperref}

\begin{document}
foobar
\end{document}

When loading whizzytex in emacs I get the following error:

/usr/lib/whizzytex/whizzytex
-pdf
xpdf
test.tex
<Initial formating failed>
Removing test.aux
<Retrying
failed>
! Package hyperref Error: Wrong DVI mode driver option `hypertex',
(hyperref) because pdfTeX or LuaTeX is running in PDF mode.

The documentation also states that hyperref has to be used explicitly
but even if I uncomment the according line in the above test document
the error stays the same.

The default dvi mode used to work perfectly. I need to use another mode
than dvi because my latex document triggers advi bug#138157. I can't use
xdvi instead because it flickers in high frequency during updates. I
can't use ps because the gv window steals the focus from my emacs window
every time a change is made to the tex document. Therefore the only
remaining choice for me is to use whizzytex in pdf mode.

Thanks!

cheers, josch
