Hello.
A couple of days ago I switched my default locale from pl_PL (ISO-8859-2
encoding) to pl_PL.UTF-8. As a result, the changelogs started to look
better, but the apt-listchages's *messages* lost all of their Polish
special charactes (because the
/usr/share/locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/apt-listchanges.mo file is encoded in
ISO-8859-2).
I don't know how the selection of the messagesets work, but maybe
apt-listchanges could convert its messages on-the-fly to UTF-8 before
displaying them in an UTF-8 environment, or perhaps provide a recoded
/usr/share/locale/pl_PL.UTF-8/LC_MESSAGES/apt-listchanges.mo file?
All of the above may also apply to other localizations.
Cheers,
