Dear GCC Maitnainers,

gcc is a key package, of course.

matplotlib should not be a key package, please add a <!nodoc> marker in
d/control
and maybe also move this dependency to Build-Depends-Indep:

matplotlib is itself making many packages "essential",
so this little change would help a lot transitively.

Greetings

Alexandre
