Dear Maintainer,
The invisible edge gesture window created by ukui-sidebar does not take
the UKUI panel position and size into account.
When the panel is placed at the bottom of the screen, the gesture window
covers the extreme bottom-right Show Desktop area. Mouse clicks are
received by the gesture window instead of the panel, so Show Desktop does
not work.
The gesture window can also overlap the panel when the panel is placed on
the same screen edge.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in to an UKUI desktop session.
2. Open the panel settings and place the panel at the bottom of the
primary screen.
3. Open one or more application windows.
4. Move the pointer to the extreme bottom-right corner.
5. Click the Show Desktop area.
Actual result:
The click is intercepted by the ukui-sidebar gesture window and the
desktop is not shown.
Expected result:
The panel receives the click and shows the desktop.
The same-edge conflict can also be reproduced as follows:
1. In a left-to-right desktop session, place the panel on the right edge
of the primary screen.
2. Try to interact with the panel along that edge.
3. Observe that the ukui-sidebar gesture window remains visible over the
same edge and may intercept input intended for the panel.
In a right-to-left desktop session, the equivalent conflict occurs when
the panel is placed on the left edge.
The problem is caused by the edge gesture window geometry being
calculated using only the screen geometry. It is not updated according to
the panel position and size, and the window remains visible when the
panel occupies the same edge.
