Hi.

I find nohang's documentation woefully insufficient as is, in particular
this pertains to the application's configuration; `man 8 nohang` has
this unhelpful bit:

Just read the description of the parameters and edit the values. Restart
the daemon to apply the changes.

While the shipped config file is indeed verbosely commented, the
comments fail to actually explain most of the options, some are lacking
any hint whatsoever as for what they do. Regarding a system-level tool
as critical as this you'd really expect a man page nohang.conf. That
would better be exhaustive. At least however either the main man page or
default config file should explain the options. Having to read the
source is not what we expect in Debian.

Regards,
Oliver

the documentation is not just the manpage
or the source code. as you see from man man, it is in section 8
if you have difficulty, navigating to /usr/share/doc/nohang, cd helps
please also check out the homepage of the project it does explain things
pretty well.
besides all that, debian tries to come with sane defaults, upstream
as well. my experience has shown, you can just install it and
use it with the defaults.
i'm closing this bug report. it's been forwarded upstream, but if you
want anything different, faster. feel free to provide changes/improvements,
either in BTS to this bug report, or preferably to upstream.

best,
