aptitude install lirc
select "0. other (MIDI, Bluetooch, etc)", then
select "6. linux input layer"
Now /etc/lirc/hardware.conf contains a line
DRIVER="devinput"
but this is wrong, and lirc cannot be used with htis setting
it should be
DRIVER="dev/input"
