Greetings

Alexandre

Hi,

I had a look, and unfortunately, python3-uv-build depends on the whole Rust toolchain, and would be very hard to backport. Meaning that I cannot switch this package to uv-build without making it impossible to backport. I don't want to do that.

I'm unfortunately having to close this bug until Forky is out, and I wont need to backport it, meaning in a year from now. That is, unless someone backports python3-uv-build to Trixie, which I very much don't think will happen.

Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)
