Package: mozilla-thunderbird
Version: 1.0.2-2.sarge1.0.8b.1
Severity: important
After an upgrade, I believe from security.d.o the startup script appears
to be broken. When typing in the command `thunderbird` from the command
line the following error occurs:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/image00/toptransfer/download$ thunderbird
selected locale: en-US
run-mozilla.sh: Cannot execute
/usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/thunderbird-bin.
I attempted to fix the problem by purging thunderbird using aptitude,
and then reinstalling, with no joy.
running the command `mozilla-thunderbird` starts the package as
expected, however I expected the commands to be identical.
Regards,
Russell.

No, there is no such thing like a "thunderbird" command in the
mozilla-thunderbird package in sarge. Maybe you installed a backported
version once? Use mozilla-thunderbird instead.
Closing this bug.
BTW, we need volunteers to test security updates before we roll them
out. If you want to participate, add the apt lines of my security
preview archive to your sources.list and report issues with packages
released from there to me (see:
http://www.asoftsite.org/apt-archives.html). Thanks for contributing.
