Package: ttf-radisnoir
Severity: wishlist

hello gael

thank you for this great font, i have packaged your font for the www.debian.org linux distribution (probably ubuntu also has it). and i wanted to update to your new version, but i do some modification to your font (like add bold, italic and stuff like that using some fontforge scripts). the font license doesn't allow modifications and using the same name though (ofl). would you consider adding an
exception to the license to allow distributing the font with modifications under
the same name, or relicense it to say public domain or gnu gpl?

you can check the generated fonts here:
http://gnu.ethz.ch/debian/ttf-radisnoir/turbo/ttf-radisnoir-0.9b/

yours,
guerkan

Hi Alex,

You cannot just change the license of copyrighted material or derivates
of it if the license does not allow for that. The OFL does not allow it.
So we are not going to include the submitted version in Debian.
