Package: chrony
Version: 1.21-2

While testing chrony with piuparts, I ran into the following problem:

  Setting up chrony (1.21-2) ...

  Configuration file `/etc/chrony/chrony.conf'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
      Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
      N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : background this process to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
  *** chrony.conf (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ? dpkg: error processing
chrony (--configure):
EOF on stdin at conffile prompt

The EOF was generated from the keyboard by me.

This was the upgrade test in piuparts: it had set up a chroot with
sarge, and installed chrony in it, and then upgraded the chroot to etch,
and that's when the problem occurred. Note that the conffiles in the
sarge package were not modified by piuparts (or myself), so if they
changed, it was all due to something in the package itself.

The piuparts log file is about 190 kilobytes, so I'm not attaching it.
If you want to see it, however, I'd be happy to send it, just ask me.

I hope this helps. Happy hacking.
