Package: torcs
Version: 1.2.4-2
Severity: normal

I cannot use my analog joystick in TORCS. I suppose, that joystick
is configured correctly in my OS as all joystick utilities
like jstest, jscalibrate etc. detect joystick movements and
buttons. However, when configuring player's controls
(http://torcs.sourceforge.net/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=10&page=2)
I cannot assign joystick axis to steering eg. when moving stick
to the left I cannot see AXIS0-0 control. The strange thing is
that, when I push joystick first button I can see eg BTN0-0 in
control field as if joystick is detected!

Hi,
My joystick was not configured fully, namely it was not calibrated using jscal.
After calibration torcs recognizes and uses joystick correctly.

Thanks
Marek Brudka
