Package: apt-listchanges
Version: 2.63
Severity: important

Hi,

When running "aptitude update; aptitude upgrade", the changes are displayed
just fine.
When doing essentially the same but with the aptitude GUI
(pressing 'u', 'U' 'g' 'g'), the message about reading the changelogs is
shown but NO changelog or NEWS.Debian is shown. It goes on as if there are no
changes or NEWS entries (very unlikely on an upgrade).

Both are running under su root in KDE konsole.

This effectively makes apt-listchanges useless for users of the aptitude GUI.

Hi,

this bug was because the default configuration shows REALLY unexpected
behaviour:

The name of the package is "apt-listchanges" and not "apt-listnews". As such,
defaulting to only showing news is not what the user would expect! And it
doesn't make sense.

Additionally, the output about parsing changelogs should not be printed if no
changelogs are going to be visible.
Maybe even print a line that listing the changelogs was not enabled in
the /etc/apt/listchanges
