Package: gphoto2
Version: 2.1.5-1
Severity: normal

gphoto2 --auto-detect (and other options) blocks, with top showing R+.
Here is the excerpt (I use root to avoid user permission problems):
[Camera not connected.]
snoopy:~# gphoto2 --list-ports
Devices found: 5
Path                             Description
--------------------------------------------------------------
serial:/dev/ttyS0                Serial Port 0
serial:/dev/ttyS1                Serial Port 1
usb:                             Universal Serial Bus
usb:003,003                      Universal Serial Bus
usb:001,002                      Universal Serial Bus
[I connect my camera, Canon A95, to a USB port.]
snoopy:~# gphoto2 --auto-detect
[It prints a line, the header, and removes it immediately. Afterwards,
it blocks.]
[The same for gphoto2 --list-ports]
[Other options, such as gphoto2 --about, block too, without printing
anything.]

I kill gphoto2 and execute:
snoopy:~# cat .gphoto/settings
gphoto2=model=Canon PowerShot A95 (normal mode)
gphoto2=port=usb:
snoopy:~#

If I deconnect the camera AND remove ~/.gphoto/settings file, gphoto2
--list-ports works again. --auto-detect works too:
snoopy:~# rm -rf .gphoto/settings
snoopy:~# gphoto2 --auto-detect
Model                          Port
----------------------------------------------------------
snoopy:~#

Very strange... Installation problem? PowerPC problem?

Many thanks,
Eugen
