Package: gnome-core
Version: 1:2.14.3.2

I have used the "Desktop -> Preferences -> Preferred applications" to set Mozilla Firefox to be my browser, and Thunderbird to be my mail client.

This function dosen't work for the browser. For example, if I tend to open html file, it is opened in Epiphany. When I click on link from Thunderbird, it is opened in.. Epiphany.

I am using Debian Testing, custom kernel 2.6.17

I think thunderbird is using sensible-browser to give this behaviour.
You have to use update-alternatives to select another default for
x-www-browser, or set the BROWSER environment.

I'm closing the bug, as gnome is working as expected.

(For the record, this is the kind of desktop integration you get in
evolution and not in thunderbird.)
