Package: libgl1-mesa-dri

Hi.
I'm running Etch, and the last dist-upgrade I tried gave me this:

The following packages are BROKEN:
  xorg

blah blah blah...

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xorg: Depends: libgl1-mesa-dri but it is not installable
Resolving dependencies...
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

Keep the following packages at their current version:
libgl1-mesa-glx [6.4.2-1 (now)]

Score is 60

Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?]

Well, it is installable, I installed it.
But it's not the first time I'm having this issue, and without libgl1-mesa-dri,
there is no acceleration for my ati card.

Feel free to close it, but I'd like to know why this is, since libgl1-mesa-dri
appears in "depends", and can perfectly be installed by hand.

cheers
