Package: msttcorefonts
Version: 1.1.12
Severity: normal

When upgrading this package from version 1.1.5, the upgrade fails on the
first attempt:

------
Preparing to replace msttcorefonts 1.1.5 (using
.../msttcorefonts_1.1.12_all.deb) ...
update-fonts-dir: warning: absolute path /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType was
provided
rmdir: `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/msttcorefonts_1.1.12_all.deb
(--unpack):
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
checking /lar/mirror/downloads/msttcorefonts/andale32.exe
checking /lar/mirror/downloads/msttcorefonts/arial32.exe
.
.
.
------

In fact, except for this error, it seemed to install fine, but the error
caused apt-get to say that the installation was a failure. A subsequent
install just gave a warning for the lack of existence of a different
directory, but installed fine:

------
Preparing to replace msttcorefonts 1.1.5 (using
.../msttcorefonts_1.1.12_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement msttcorefonts ...
warning: /usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType does not exist or is not a directory
Setting up msttcorefonts (1.1.12) ...
------

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Kevin

thanks

The submitter email of this bug bounces and as outlined above, I think
this was a transitional error. I'm now closing this bug.
