Package: madwifi-source
Version: 0.svnr1697.0.9.2-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I had been successfuly using r1500 from experimental. Yesterday, I
decided to upgrade, and now I can no longer connect to (various) routers
through DHCP (now WEP/WPA involved). I've tried both with
Network-Manager and dhclient. The output of dhclient is:

wifi0: unknown hardware address type 801
wifi0: unknown hardware address type 801

DHCPDISCOVER on ath0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 9
No DHCPOFFERS received.
No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.

So it just doesn't get an IP address. The card is:

Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC
 (rev 01)

Did anything drastic change between 1500 and 1697 that would make my
card fail like this?

Cheers,
Carlos

Closing this, as it does not seem to be valid anymore. If it turns out that
network-manager is still not playing nicely with madwifi, then that should be
reported as a separate issue.

Thanks, Kel.
