--- Begin Message ---Package: kernel-patch-2.4-kgdb Version: 1.5-1 kernel-patch-2.4-kgdb fails to build from source on i386, when doing a binary-all build. I am filing this bug to notify you that I failed to build your package from source. It is a serious problem that your source does not build from source using the information provided in your control files, and such a package should not be distributed in a stable Debian distribution. This build was done using pbuilder package. Build log follows: =========================================== dpkg-source: building kernel-patch-2.4-kgdb in kernel-patch-2.4-kgdb_1.5-1.dsc debian/rules build dh_testdir touch build-stamp fakeroot debian/rules binary dh_testdir dh_testroot dh_clean -k dh_installdirs dh_installkpatches debian/control must make package kernel-patch-2.4-kgdb depend on ${kpatch:Depends} at /usr/bin/dh_installkpatches line 211. make: *** [install] Error 1 =========================================== regards, junichi -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.netfort.gr.jp/~dancer

--- Begin Message ---Version: 1.9-1 This bug was fixed in an NMU, but never closed. I'm closing it with the correct version so that its status can be properly version-tracked. For reference: kernel-patch-2.4-kgdb (1.9-1) unstable; urgency=low . * New upstream version for the 2.4.23 kernel. * Removed the hwdebugmacros GDB macro and the loadmodule.sh shell script since they are no longer needed. * Finally fixed the kpatches dependency. (Closes: Bug#162824) * Sponsor'd upload for Brandt Dusthimer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Regards, Adam
