Package: gs-common
Version: 0.3.3.1
Severity: normal
I just upgraded a system, which involved a gs-common 0.3.3.1 -> 0.3.6
upgrade. It failed with:
Preparing to replace gs-common 0.3.3.1 (using .../gs-common_0.3.6_all.deb) ...
Cleaning up font configuration of gs...
[...]
Unpacking replacement gs-common ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/gs-common_0.3.6_all.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/man/de/man1/gsnd.1.gz', which is also in
package gs
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Preparing to replace gs 7.05-1 (using .../apt/archives/gs_8.01-5_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement gs ...
Selecting previously deselected package gs-gpl.
Unpacking gs-gpl (from .../gs-gpl_8.01-5_i386.deb) ...
A subsequent dist-upgrade succeeds (I guess since gs is upgraded by then).
Cheers,
Daniel

I couldn't reproduce this bug, and gs-common has been conflicting (and
replacing) with gs << 6.51, which was the last version including
manpages in it. So, it shouldn't have happend. I don't know why, but
I guess I can suppose this bug has gone anway.
