Package: tetex-bin
Version: 2.0.2-1
Severity: normal
In /etc/texmf.d/75DviPS.cnf the following line appears:
T1FONTS = .;$TEXMF/fonts/type1//;$TEXMF/fonts/hbf//
and in /etc/texmfd./55Fonts.cnf:
MISCFONTS = .;$TEXMF/fonts/misc//
However, hbf2gf's man page (in cjk-latex) states that the
latest version of libkpathsea (3.3) .hbf files are searched for
in MISCFONTS, not T1FONTS (as was the case in 3.2)
Changing the lines to:
T1FONTS = .;$TEXMF/fonts/type1//
MISCFONTS = .;$TEXMF/fonts/misc//;$TEXMF/fonts/hbf//
makes .hbf fonts work in mktexpk and the like.

Of course Pacman didn't influence us as kids. If it did,
we'd be running around in darkened rooms, popping pills and
listening to repetitive music.

Package: cjk-latex
Version: 4.6.0+cvs20060714-2
Severity: important
The new "latex-cjk" package in unstable now depends on
an extra package called "latex-cjk-japanese-wadalab", and
it contains Type1 DNP fonts from Wadalab.
Simply use the "[DNP]" argument when starting a CJK
environment, and it should work without problems.
Be careful that due to an incomplete debian/copyright
file, latex-cjk-chinese-arphic is still in the NEW queue,
which means that you can't install latex-cjk-all (yet),
which
depends on the Arphic packages.
But installing latex-cjk-japanese and
latex-cjk-japanese-wadalab
separately should work alright.
If you do experience problems, please do not hesitate to
reopen this bug.
Best regards
Danai SAE-HAN
