Some wishlist items regarding the new gitlog user:
I think it's only needed by the daemon. Correct? In that case, it's
probably time to create a separate git-daemon package, so that client
installations aren't cluttered with the user.
You should consider following the Exim 4 example and name the user
"Debian-gitlog", to avoid collisions with existing user names.
The home directory shouldn't be /var/log, but something else. I don't
know if there are any Debian installations where /var/log isn't
writeable by root only, but it's probably better to play safe.
