I use Gnome 2.4 with a panel along the bottom edge of the screen. When I
maximise a gvim window with certain font sizes about half (vertically)
of the status line at the bottom is obscured by the panel. If the status
line expands into a scrolling message eg by running :cl then each line
is scrolled up with the bottom half of the text missing.
It seems to depend on the font size, and therefore probably the screen
resolution and Gnome panel height. My resolution is 1024x768 with a
Gnome panel height of 36 and vim's guifont set to LucidaTypewriter 10. I
can cure the problem by changing the font size to 12 or the family to
Monospace. Andale Mono at size 10 is another casualty of the bug though.
I suspect the cause is a rounding error.
