Package: tar
Version: 1.13.93-4
Severity: normal
When I run tar with -c, -W, and -g, tar creates the archive, but then
crashes with a segfault during verification, and does not write any
information to the snapshot file. The exact command I was using last
time was:
tar cvSWf /backup/wombat-full-system-backup-Jul-2.tar -g
/backup/wombat-full-system-backup-Jul-2.snapshot --one-file-system
--exclude '/tmp/*' /
I've done variations on this, but the critical part seems to be the -c,
-W, and -g.

I no longer see a segfault with this command sequence using tar 1.16-1.
