The background music skips horribly for Curse of Monkey Island, and something
similar happens with the dialog during Beneath a Steel Sky's CD intro.
My soundcard is VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235 AC97 Audio Controller (rev
40), and even if it's very low-end, it works correctly with the ALSA drivers in
kernel 2.6.0. Note that it's supposed to work at 48 kHz.
I tried running the game from the harddisk, but nothing changed. I also tried
the CVS version, which is supposed to have many fixes (some are related to
audio), but still no luck.
