Package: egroupware
Version: 1.0.0.007-2.dfsg-2sarge1
Severity: normal
I have a system with two different apache. One is bound to
an external IP address, the second one is bound to an internal IP
(127.0.0.4:80) address. The first one have a virtualhost for the
internal one. Every time a request arrive for that virtualhost,
the external apache activate a rewriterule and its internal reverse
proxy in order to call the internal apache.
The internal apache have PHP support (it is on a different chroot
environment), and is the location where egroupware should run.
Just after the package installation, I tried to run the
http://myhost/egroupware/setup/ passing from the external apache.
The setup page did all tests and told me to add a domain. In this page,
anything I typed, it is not possibile to preceed, i.e., the buttons
'write config', 'add domain', 'download', 'view', 'continue' will
always go back to the login page.
After many tries I decided to change the second apache, bind it
to an external port, and start the setup again. This time it worked.
After the initial setup and the installation of all applications, I
restored the internal apache configuration. Egroupware seems to be
working behind a reverse proxy, but I need some time to test it.
Bye,
Giuseppe

The etch version, 1.2-105.dfsg-2, of egroupware solve this problem. I
just upgraded and reconfigured the machine where the bug was initially
found.
Thanks,
Giuseppe
