Package: mlterm
Version: 2.9.2-3
Severity: important

I am a user of package mlterm-tiny in nowadays version in SID 2.9.2-4. I
experience problems with registering mlterm window in opened terminals
database (I guess it is wtmp). I even cannot be talked.

After starting mlterm via window manager it doesn't appear in who
listing. My who listing:

veronika Sep 20 12:25 (:0.0)
veronika :0 Sep 20 11:58

shows only two records in spite of the fact that I run many mlterm
instances.

I discovered interesting behavior. A running instance of mlterm appears
in who listing as soon as I execute via it new mlterm instance. It stays
in the listing after terminating the child mlterm. Runnig xterm doesn't
have the effect.

xterm does not have the problem with adding a record into the who
listing.

Note that I read about compiling with --with-utmp option in changelog. I
experience this problem at least with package versions 2.9.2-2, 2.9.2-3
and nowadays 2.9.2-4.

I am free to provide more needed informations to resolve the problem.

 mlterm (2.9.3-4) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * apply cvs changes 1.939.
     - fix wtmp records problem (closes: #329194)
   * removed mlterm-im-iiimf from the distribution.
Debian IIIMF seems not well maintained and its ABI change
prevents building mlterm. Plus only a few users use it.
   * Disabled utmp/wtmp function. This function prevents
launching mlconfig (GTK+ setgid problem). Patch is welcome.
